You can describe quite a lot so called Powerviolence-stuff basically as speed-up Crust.

Powerviolence is nothing like crust OR grindcore. And Lärm isn't rrrly powerviolence, they're basically the archetypal thrashcore band that every fast hardcore band since then has taken cues from. Grindcore, powerviolence, whatever. Lärm did it and every band after took a part of their sound and turned it into a genre. You can see a direct linneage from Lärm to Infest to Capitalist Casualties, or from Lärm to Siege to Napalm Death.

powerviolence? what kinda tag is that? i saw this band several times and they were not into violence. in fact, they were very friendly and very committed to "the scene".

By the way, the tags such as sXe, straight edge, etc. are not so popular for this band. Interesting, why? Maybe, because they are mostly for their music, not for ideology. Good or bad, that's fact.

I agree with your overall point. Just not the first part. Where I live maybe 5 out of 10 kids are "rebels" (whatever the fuck that means), and maybe a fifth listen to any kind of punk/hardcore. Either way if more kids are getting into Larm i don't see how this could possibly be a bad thing. Larm have been broken up for quite a long time now, which inevitably leads them to punk's more heavier/aggressive/darker side i.e. New school/ Old school Hardcore/ Powerviolence/ Thrashcore / Grindcore e.t.c and since old guys usually rant about how it was great back in the day and the new bands don't know shit and suck dicks... Really don't understand why people would get bent outta shape over a good band getting recognition. The global population is very high at the moment , there are many teenagers/ Younger kids and 9 out of 10 tend to be rebels what's more is that 5 out of that 9 get into punk... shut the fuck up and enjoy your shit.

Larm have been broken up for quite a long time now, so it's not like they switched up their style to attract a younger fanbase, and I doubt anyone here is ever going to see them live and have to share space with the new jacks. Really don't understand why people would get bent outta shape over a good band getting recognition.

Yo dude, Heroin is a kind of downer, you know that? It's not like speed or something. It will make you feel all cozy and sleepy. I prefer soberity though. I like to wake up feeling well-rested :D

"you know who is the biggest type of poser? someone who stops listening to a damn good band just cos their fan base has a lot of young kids." *cos their fanbase has become a lot of young kids who jump on to the next trend, one after another, I didn't even know larm drew this many fans, this must have happened in the past few months right?
