So beautiful yet mechanical... I can see why this was the foundation for most electronic music

German edition is better for two reasons: "Roboter" and "Maschine". "MachEEEEEEEEEne" through vocoder sounds almost hysterical while "RobotSSSS" sounds practically like "ba-dum-tss". Once you hear juicy "ROBOTERRRRRR" and highly articulate "MA-SCHI-NE" you realise that you are in for a treat.

"Das Modell" and "The Model" are equally exquisite (well, mb "KORREKT" is a bit frustrating sometimes cuz it's like Till Lindemann's face appears for a brief moment). "Neonlicht" is also better cuz Ralf for some reason stresses that plural baby for real in "Neon Light-SSSSSSSSSSS". Although German "NL" does actually sound softer and calmer.

Saw the 1927 film 'Metropolis' the other day, and now certain aspects of this album make more sense. Like the titles of tracks three and six, for example.

Anyway, this album is a beautiful example of krautrock and a great achievement by Kraftwerk.
