Cudi takes a break from the low-tempo songs that riddled the first half of the album with this upbeat, feel-good-esque track revolving around him convincing his girl to try some psychedelic mushrooms. Grooovy.
Cudi disclosed that the song was inspired by a particular night:
"Early on in my New York days, I met this girl and we hit it off and we did shrooms at her apartment and we just kinda had this really magical night and it was so, like, entergalactic, you know, and that just stuck with me."
For Cudi, the term ‘entergalactic’ is an “expression of feelings” which encapsulates the “euphoric, fantastic feelings that you have when you meet a woman for the first time, when you hang out with a crush or somebody you really have feelings for.” He would go on to use the word as the title for his 2022 animated Netflix series and the accompanying album.
" Which is called “Enter Galactic”, “you and me”. And it’s produced by Illfonics, and they presented the beat to me and I heard it, it was definitely one of those things where, I just caught a vibe and I just jumped on it. You know what I mean, that very seldom happens, like, I don’t take beats from producers and skim through them, I like to work hands on and create mold. So, this was kinda like destiny for me to hear this song and it just spoke to me. You know what I mean, it’s so groovy and so chill and it’s so funky and the idea, the hook came to me immediately, all these songs the hooks came to me like immediately, and that’s how I know if it’s good or not. You know what I mean? If I gotta sit there for hours and try to decide a hook, it’s probably gonna be a shitty song."
