    10 tracks

Khruangbin’s second record was recorded in one week on a farm in Texas. According to guitarist Mark Seer, “if we spent longer on the songs, they wouldn’t be what they are. What the album ends up reflecting is a time capsule of what we created in that bubble.”

The album marks a departure from the strictly instrumental style of their previous works. Bassist Laura Lee said of the addition:

"We started with music first and then the vocals come afterwards, but only if the song says ‘please add another layer’ do we add words. The songs are supposed to be dreamy. As soon as the vocals come to the forefront, it takes you out of that dream state. Vocals don’t always have to be front and center."

She went on to explain the writing process:

"We were at the farm, and I would sit in one room with a drum loop and play bass to that and hand it off to Mark, then he would go in another room and add guitar while I started another song. It was sort of like relay-recording."
