I first discovered this band on a compilation CD that came free with an issue of VOX magazine back in December 1997. I loved the ‘Monochrome’ straight away and played it to death on my bedroom stereo. This was about the time I started learning to play the guitar seriously and so this was the first song I ever attempted to cover. I fell in love with Harriet Wheeler’s voice and people have since said that mine is reminiscent of hers, which is a great compliment to me.
