I Thought About Killing You is from Kanye West's eighth studio album, Ye (2018). The song contains an uncredited sample from Fr3sh, as performed by Kareem Lotfy.
On 7 June 2018, six days after the release of Ye, the clean version of I Thought About Killing You had the lyric "Sorry, but I chose not to be no slave" added approximately three minutes and thirty seconds into the song. The line has not been added to the explicit version of the song.
