Violeta Violeta Volume II is the seventh studio album by Kaizers Orchestra, released on 11 November 2011. The second volume of the Violeta Violeta trilogy of albums, it features a rougher sound than the first installment, and includes the first of Geir Zahl's song compositions for the project, on which he performs lead vocals.
The first single from the album, "Tusen dråper regn", was released on 31 May 2011, to minor chart success. It was later announced that the album would receive its "world premiere" before its scheduled release date; Violeta Violeta Volume II was performed, in its entirety, for the first time at the Øya Festival in Oslo on 11 August 2011. The second single, "Drøm videre Violeta", was released in September.
The album's release date coincided with the release of Live i Oslo Spektrum, a live concert DVD, Blu-ray and CD of their concert at Oslo Spektrum earlier in 2011, as well as the world premiere of Sonny, a theatrical play based on the lyrical universe of Kaizers Orchestra's first three albums.
