Rumors of a collaboration between Bieber and Halsey began when Halsey contributed to the countdown to Bieber’s lead single, “What Do You Mean?” The song was finally announced on October 28th in a post on Bieber’s Instagram.
In an interview with MTV, Halsey confirmed that a music video (possibly previewed in this tweet) is in the works:
"I’m terrified of giving away too much information. Imagine if I f–k up Bieber’s roll-out plan? There will definitely be a music video, given the song. It should be really, really interesting to see what people think when we put out a video. That’s all I can say."
“The Feeling” premiered on Beats 1 Radio on November 9th, 2015, alongside the Ed Sheeran co-written “Love Yourself.”
