Biography
Just Water was one of the very first mainstays of the New York Punk Rock scene, 1974-1979. Just Water were regulars at CBGB's & Max's Kansas City, sharing bills with Talking Heads, Blondie, Mink Deville, The Ramones, The Planets, The Heartbreakers, and The Fast. Just Water's "Singin' in The Rain" was the first record since "96 Tears" (by Question Mark & The Mysterians) to gain heavy radio play in the USA without the backing of any record company. "Singin' in The Rain" was subsequently issued on Stiff Records throughout the UK and Europe. Just Water released one of the punk era's first LPs, The Riff. Just Water's second LP Meet The Competition, recorded in 1978, was lost for almost 30 years, and has finally been released in 2008.
