A masterpiece recorded by the legendary Journey line up. Raw energy, emotions, message of hope, love, extraordinary vocals, awesome bass kick-offs with historic keyboard riffs (Don't stop believing), trademark guitar solos (Who's crying now), top charting ballads, classic melodic rock, perfect AOR with massive hits, what not? this album was THE complete package and more.

I love the artwork on their albums it is really awesome. I try and collect everything the "ORIGINAL JOURNEY" put out but really do not like their "NEW" lead singer it is a far cry from Steve Perry.

The album title and artwork follow some sort of a pattern. In Feb. 1981, Journey's live album, "Captured", was released. 5 months later, their seventh studio album, "Escape", was released. The beetle was captured, then it escaped.

So many fillers. I dislike this album, even though I enjoy Journey hit songs. Don't Stop Believin, Who's Crying Now and Open Arms are gems. Escape, Stone In Love and Still They Ride aren't bad though. But for the rest of them D: This is the first album I ever disliked. At least I enjoy some bits of them and they definitely get a spin now and then. I recommend people to get compilations(by Journey)instead.
