“Sucker” is an upbeat pop song, and the band’s first single in almost six years. The brothers collectively portray someone who is infatuated with someone and for whom they would go to great lengths. The light rock instrumentation throughout the track is minimal, leaving the central focus on the brothers' vocals on their comeback single.

The song was teased in a YouTube video released by The Late Late Show with James Corden and was officially confirmed through a Twitter post.

In addition to posting a picture on their social media, the band also teased their reunion on The Late Late Show with James Corden in a clip similar to his hit, Carpool Karaoke, one day before the song’s release.

In the caption of an Instagram post from Nick Jonas, he stated that the music video was filmed at an unnamed location in England:

"#SuckerVideo is officially out! We really had the best time shooting this video in England with our family. Hope you guys love it. Feels good to be back 😎 @jonasbrothers"

According to an article from the ‘Evening Standard’ however, the music video was filmed at Hatfield House in Hertfordshire, England.

“Sucker” debuted at #1 on the Hot 100 during the week ending March 16, 2019. This became the group’s first song to top the chart and third top 10 song overall. They are also the first group to debut at #1 on the Hot 100 this century.

The song was nominated for “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance” at the 2019 62nd Annual Grammy Awards.
