John Joseph Dolan started playing music at the age of eleven with his first cheap acoustic guitar and the use of a reel to reel tape recorder to capture those early experiments in sound in his home town of Stockport. It wasn’t until his early twenties, after completing his Graphic Design degree in Leeds, when more serious writing and recording began initially using two cassette decks and overdubbing a variety of instruments including guitars, bass, electric piano and the loan of a Moog synth.
