I knew a lesser known Joe Walsh, he was the drummer of a New York death metal band called Bloodgasm. I was in contact with him for a short period of time. Not sure how he felt sharing a name with the classic rock musician.

Rock like R&B isn't the same anymore. 70's 80's and early 90's was the best music of all time.

Here's an interesting little article about Joe's band, The Measles, before the James Gang. This was written by a member of the band and a friend of my father's, both of whom spent time playing with Joe. Makes me proud of my pops. http://www.kentohio.net/kent-history/kent-ohio-measles-outbreak

Nice to see that he's off the Vodka delirium and back in the studio, with Jeff Lynne no less. He laid on the table a good solo album >> Analog Man

Man, Joe's records are better than the fucking Eagles. If Hotel California's their best (which is practically undeniable), it's really not as good as Seriously Folks, Barnstorm, Neighborhood, and Smoker. I've been nothing but very impressed with those records. Hotel has its moments, and many of them are because of Joe's guitar. The rest is... not that great.

Not so great if you seen his performance at the Ohio State Fair in 1971. He argued on stage with the James Gang, I could never stomach the guy after putting the audience through such a display. You do not put your fans through that kind of BS. And to think he use to play locally in Columbus, OH. where the state fair was being held.
