The recording that appears on Valleys of Neptune dates from 1967's Axis: Bold as Love sessions with 1987 overdubs from bassist Noel Redding and drummer Mitch Mitchell. The song was re-recorded in 1968 and released as "Look Over Yonder" on Hendrix's second posthumous studio album, Rainbow Bridge.
