I'll never forget seeing this band, when I was barely age 20, back in 1971. We were in the very front, at the foot of the stage; and we were feeling, shall I say, very colorful ourselves! Ian Anderson, the leader, was at the top for performance art (beating out Arthur Brown with musicality, and Jim Morrison with impersonation)! It was the opening show of a new tour, and the opening track was "My God." Oh my god it was stunning..... And he looked down on us and looked right through us.... He seemed absolutely huge and insane! He was dressed in a long, heavy, brass buttoned coat, with high leather boots perhaps over tight pants; and when he played that flute he moved wildly, and opened his eyes wide and rolled them as if a mad man from back in time.

Band maintains its sound; creating music is about one key for all the albums. It should be noted that the team is trying to squeeze out all the creative juices, the entire potential. The band is still very, very recognizable. However, looking at the membership does not have to wonder.

Agreed @Roy1968Wood, but that isn't Jethro Tull's fault! Blame the media! My favorite song off this album is 'Wind-up'! Still a stellar album!

I really liked this album when it was released but, over time and incessant radio play of 3 tracks, grew tired of it and it now resides in a container full of other records that I don't play anymore. For me, the best Jethro Tull album is still their first - This Was.

great great great. Remembering Ian's younger voice vocals on this back in the day, that were absolutely out of this world. I still very much appreciate this live more recent rendition, excellently performed. Play on, men.
