@AlexandreMD9 Right you are. Abbey Road, Let It Bleed, In the Court of the Crimson King and any other album you care to name can go kick rocks in flip-flops because this is the best album of 1969. I love Tull's later, proggier/folkier stuff, but this is Blues Rock with real balls to it and it rules.

The track listing for this doesn't match my vinyl copy with the pop-up image of the band in the gatefold sleeve. What have the guys at Chrysalis been up to? The reprise on "For a thousand mothers" is just amazing.

Only heard this a few years back for the first time and it's so, so good. Myself, I prefer Tull at this point in their career - loved "Heavy Horses" as a kid too.

This is one of my favorite albums ever. Each song reminds me distinctly of a certain memory or people from my life.. brings me nearly to tears sometimes. So much emotion, No other album or artist that I know of can do that. I love you Jethro Tull and Ian

Stand Up and This Was are fast becoming some of my top Tull albums, they were amazing, as those before me have said, a great fusion of folk and blues going on here!
