Weird. On first listen I didn't think much of this album. Now it's sounding great. I guess Japan is a very mood-y band for me.

Yeah...I really need this album. Fall in Love With Me, by itself, convinced me of that.

My liner notes say that the original track listing was going to be: 1) All Tomorrow's Parties; 2) Fall in Love with Me; 3) Alien; 4) Quiet Life; 5) The Other Side of Life; 6) Despair; 7) In Vogue; 8) Halloween; 9) A Foreign Place. They changed it at the last minute in favor of a more commercial listing.

While I love what they did before this, Quiet Life is something else entirely, they still get called a Roxy Music clone especially regardng this album, I can't stand Roxy so they couldnt have been that similiar.

I always love listening to this album on vinyl when I go round his house, it's great to raid his collection, this is the reward I get for it. Great music and great style!

no kidding, without Quiet Life we wouldn't have had bands like Duran Duran and Tears For Fears as we know them :) and that would suck!

This band does not get nearly enough credit. The title track alone should be considered an essential part of new wave/new romantic.
