Powerful R&B talent Jamilah Barry, hailing from London, is a soulful 25 year old vocalist who has been writing her own music since her early teens. An eclectic musical influence has taken her sound to a level of sophistication way beyond her years, presenting a bold fusion of jazz, soul and R&B thats sparked interest since her sporadic SoundCloud releases at the early stages of her career. Collaborations such as 'Silly Q's' and 'HIM&HER' with Jack Nichols-Marcy and MIDNIGHT PHUNK frequently receive compliments for Jamilah's undeniably formidable vocal.
This consistently positive critique has lead to appearances for the likes of Sally Greene and Dominic West. Jamilah Barry is beginning her journey to make her name known in the increasingly popular UK R&B scene. The release of her 2018 debut project Salix Babylonica came after the attention surrounding her previous releases, most notably her debut, “Dance Moves”. Performances at venues such as Ronnie Scott and Royal Festival Hall remind us of her captivating vocals and unmatched stage presence together demonstrating Jamilah's maturity as an artist.
Her second project Romance Me was released two years later in 2020, and the next year, she released a COLORSXSTUDIOS performance of the unreleased song “Cut Me Open” to wide acclaim.
