New project from Jacco called Metius. Explained by Jacco as below: ‘Metius is my new side project. It’s a project based on electronic improvisation and driven by the curiosity and fascination for abandoned while still innovative music- and visual software from the 1980s. As Metius I explore the creative possibilities between me and the machines I’m surrounded by, working together towards unique and unpredictable live performances.’

Does anyone know if he has any new music or tours planned? I can’t see any news so I guess it’s a no. Maybe someone’s who’s better informed than me can shed some light?!

Hard to say, indeed. As of January 6th this year, there seems to be something coming regarding his solo project. And if you follow him on his socials (mainly Instagram), he's always experimenting with something. Outside of his solo project, he's still pretty active. His Bruxas project with Nic Mauskovic produced a new album a year ago. In terms of touring, I'm not sure. He did a handful of presentations for Somnium in 2018/2019 (I was at the release in Artis Amsterdam, you've seen him later if I understand correctly), and some festivals, but that was about it. Time has absolutely grinded to a halt in March 2020..

Hey, thanks for the info. I’d never heard of Bruxas, just gave them a listen and I like it. Yeah time certainly did grind to a halt. I saw no live music in 2020 and 2021, but starting to get the Gigs lined up in 2022. Pretty varied stuff as well, Meshuggah one month, Alicia Keys the next! Hope you to see some live music this year…

Saw him Manchester - Soup Kitchen last night. Sound and venue were amazing. Really intimate gig, about 75 people in the audience.

That is sadly my first impression too, the instrumentals work best for me. It's a bit hypocritical maybe as I loved the debut of Tame Impala which was very Beatles psychedelic, but some create something interesting whilst others are at least on first impression very true to the time period (60's?) and that's pretty much it.

Nice Music, terrible Attitude! Played for 38 minutes, did not say a single word during the whole concert and when asked for an encore, just came back to sell his CD's. A frozen fish is more expressive, and hundreds of other musicians deserve an Audience, he should just stick to his studio.

Welcome back, Jacco. "Somnium'' is a lovely and mesmerizing trip, just as expected. Loving the early Eno influences as well.

Somnium is otherworldly, a lush and romantic nocturnal soundtrack that is equally breathtaking.

He has a side project that's called BRUXAS, he plays a show with We Intend To Cause Havoc (WITCH) every now and then, and, if I recall correctly, he produced Altin Gün's debut record.
