“Off Deez” is a lyrical onslaught between J. Cole and his Dreamville Records signee J.I.D. The song, which is produced by ChaseTheMoney, is the second official single from "DiCaprio 2". Its title is a shortened version of the “deez nuts” meme.

On the track, J.I.D and Cole demand that their detractors and critics “get off their dicks,” which essentially means to stop bothering them, constantly criticizing them, and always having something negative to contribute to conversations involving their names. Both artists give detailed descriptions of how they will kill their enemies throughout their respective verses.

Although the song shares thematic similarities with J. Cole’s 2014 track, “G.O.M.D.,” J.I.D specifically stated on Twitter and in an interview that it was inspired by part of Beyoncé’s verse on “APESHIT”:

"Phillippe Patek
Get off my dick"

On November 2, 2018, J.I.D teased the collaboration via Instagram Live. The Cole Bennett-directed music video was released on December 4, 2018. J. Cole first alluded to an imminent music video on the day of the song’s release. J.I.D later confirmed the video when he posted a clip of it on the day before its release.

Joey Bada$$ has two cameos in the video. The first is around the 1:07 mark during the part in which J.I.D raps, “Bad man, bad man, land of my freedom,” which is actually a reference to Joey. The second is around the 2:33 mark when Cole raps “dopamine, you can load your veins with the product I slang.”

Joey has collaborated with both J.I.D and J. Cole, appearing later in this album on “Hot Box” and working with Cole on 2017’s “LEGENDARY.”

“Off Deez” was certified gold by the RIAA on March 5, 2020.
