JID links up with past collaborator and fellow Atlanta native Kenny Mason on “Dance Now,” the second single from his third album, The Forever Story. This marks the fourth official collaboration between the two.
The song was first mentioned by JID’s manager Barry Hefner via Twitter on June 7, 2022. On August 8, JID announced that the song would be released the following day. The single was accompanied by a music video directed by Trey Lyons.
Alongside the release of “Dance Now,” JID revealed the cover artwork and release date for his then-upcoming album The Forever Story.
