"Caught Their Eyes" is the fourth track off of 4:44, featuring Frank Ocean. Frank Ocean is no stranger to collaborating with JAY-Z as he previously appeared on “No Church in the Wild,” “Made in America,” “Oceans,” and most recently on Frank’s 2017 single “Biking.”, premiered on his blonded Radio show on Apple Music.
JAY-Z delivers brutal rawness of his struggles behind the survival of a crucial environment. He refers to this verse as “being aware of your surroundings.”
The second verse tackles JAY-Z’s disdain for those controlling the late Prince’s estate. The singer had publicly spoken in 2015 on his decision to release his music for streaming on TIDAL only, but after his passing Prince’s estate released his music onto other services in a money-grabbing venture.
