Evil twin, stylized as evil twin, is Isaac Dunbar’s third EP, following 2019’s “balloons don’t float here" and early 2020’s “isaac’s insects".

This body of work showcases the two “twins” of Dunbar’s music expression, the experimental and traditional sides. He described the record in detail on Twitter following release: "The evil twin concept came together when I was at a crossroads with my ego. A side of me wanted to make a record that is experimental and completely not down the middle, and the other side of me wanted to make the pop music I’ve always made. So I combined the two. Basically the first half of the EP are songs from my evil twin, the other half is Isaac. The evil twin side of the EP (pink party, rendezvous, another song which is most likely on ep, and intimate moments) features more experimental/ aggressive/ rant records while the other side (love, kissy, twaahp) is sensitive and lovey dovey. The “evil twin” is a more extroverted and spontaneous side of me, while the “normal isaac” is the side I show to all of y’all basically, the more sensitive side I guess."

Isaac has likened the experimental twin to mariposa extension number, saying it is “literally like a sliver of mariposa. More down the middle, but hinting as to what i’m going to release in the future.”
