IMS, also known as Mexican Institute of Sound is Mexico City native Camilo Lara, whose music incorporates samples from Latin cinema and television as well as traditional rhythms such as Cumbia and Cha-Cha-Cha.
Lara has collaborated on remixes for bands and friends such as Placebo, Gecko Turner, Perez Prado, Mazarin, Quantic Soul Orchestra, Gershon Kingsley, Irving Fields, Babasonicos, and Le Hammond Inferno.
