This is a cool album, new ideas from the boys with a totally different style of production, doenst hold up to the classics, or any of their other albums to be honest, but still a good time

I like this, it feels like they are having fun creating music again. Every album produced by Incubus is different, they are not a band complacent with their sound. OK, I admit they haven't pushed the boundary as far this time BUT it does mix a lot of the sounds they've used on most of their previous albums. "Love in a Time of Surveillance" sounds quite post grunge. "No Fun", "Nimble Bastard" and "State of the Art" showcase the hooks which helped them reach the mainstream audience and feel like they would fit on "Light Grenades" or "A Crow Left". "When I Became a Man" feels like they really enjoyed messing around again, reminiscent of early tracks like "I'm Smoking the Herb Again" and "Red Kipper Sandals". The problem with "When I Became a Man" is it's execution, it feels too clean and polished; it should be more raw and edgy. This is not their best album but its a very a welcome return after "If Not Now When". Welcome back boys. It's been too long. Now you need to set a UK tour date!

This album is actually......... wait for it............ wait for it............. pretty f'ing good. It's not a return to "vintage" Incubus. That would be 1995-2001. This is a return to what made Crow a great album. If they would have released this after Crow, they wouldn't have lost a lot of fans. I'm definitely buying this. Best release since Crow by far.
