Biography
Im and David were a reggae duo from Jamaica, comprised of Cedric 'Im' Brooks (born 1943) and David Madden (born 1943).
Im played clarinet, tenor saxophone and flute and was in local sixties groups such as The Vagabonds and the Granville Williams Band before he joined forces with David.
David learned to play the trumpet and at the age of 17 he met Im to form Im and David.
Their 'Money Maker' (1970) was an instrumental version of The Heptones' 'Fatty Fatty'. The Im and David version hit #1 on the Jamaican Hit Parade in 1970, backed with 'Love Land' by Sound Dimension.
