Ikkubaru is a four-piece musical ensemble hailing from Bandung, Indonesia. The band's distinctive name originates from the transformation of its frontman's name, "Iqbal," into the Japanese katakana romanization. Formed in December 2011, Ikkubaru draws substantial inspiration from the music of 1980s Japan, with influences rooted in the works of artists such as Tatsuro Yamashita, Mariya Takeuchi, and Kadomatsu Toshiki.

Their inaugural album, "Amusement Park," marked its debut in 2014 and achieved notable success, particularly in Japan. The album's release encompassed a range of physical formats, including CDs, cassettes, and 12" vinyl records.

Ikkubaru has cultivated a significant rapport within the Japanese music milieu, actively participating in the creation and production of songs for an array of Japanese artists, vocalists, and idol groups. Their collaborators include Tofubeats, Especia, Monari Wakita, TWEEDEES, RYUTist, Philosophy no Dance, Emiri Kanou, and Takashii Fuji.

In June 2015, Ikkubaru embarked on their inaugural Japan Tour, a series of seven sold-out performances that generated considerable buzz among music aficionados in Japan. Over the subsequent years, from 2015 to 2019, the band regularly toured Japan, performing in various cities and music festivals. Their creative endeavors extended to collaborations with the renowned Japanese artist and illustrator Hiroshi Nagai, leading to the creation of distinctive cover designs for their 12" vinyl albums, "Amusement Park" (2015) and "Brighter" (2017).

In 2018, Ikkubaru made their international debut with a performance at the GIMA Awards Festival in Taipei, Taiwan, marking their first foray beyond Japanese and Indonesian borders. Their sophomore album, "Chords and Melodies," was unveiled in 2020 and, once again, found its release across diverse formats, including CD and 12" vinyl, courtesy of the esteemed Japanese record label Hayabusa Landings.

In September 2021, the single "Summer Love Story" c/w "無重力ファンタジア" was released in 7" vinyl format at the City Pop on Vinyl event. Ikkubaru continues to remain active and is currently in preparations for a forthcoming single, scheduled for an August release in Japan.
