hip hop in that decade gave hiphop and edge it was all about the struggle of black americans and how they were still being treated like slaves in the modern world,Yet it was the underlying message in most cases, satirical plays on gangster life. Now that white america has endorsed hiphop culture the record labels paying out shit loads to artists because they can sell records to rebellious white kids, the artists are coming out rapping about money and ho's , there is no message behind it anymore!
