Inspired by the brutally honest songwriting of Amy Winehouse, SZA, and Joni Mitchell, hyejin combines her anti-romantic, slightly pessimistic lyricism with sticky-sweet, dreamy melodies, embarking on an infectious blend of nostalgia that she calls, “dream-soul.”
