I really LOVE this album. At first I was a little surprised by their changes in Surrender back then, because Hurts was, surely, a bit darker at the begining; but when I listen to all their music now, I see a coherent change, and I don't think they are less darker now. Hurts' music and videos always brings stories with very deep, intense feelings, like melancholy or even a bit of madness on them. And we must consider that some of Hurts' music don't come alone, they come with their videos, plots, and album concept. I still think they have an unique style. Now I love their progression, and I love to have intense and dark music as much as I like the dancing ones. I'm so addicted to Walk Away, Hold on to Me, and Something I Need to Know (my mind goes really far on that one, as if I'm watching a movie).

Wow so many negative comments I don't even want to listen to it because bias. Especially after reading comments saying their earlier works were darker, which is always a plus for me. But who knows.

I understand that people change, ergo musicians change and with them their music. Not everyone can be always sad or whatever and make dark music. Sometimes they want to make something different, more cheerful and happier. And that is ok. However, even though this album might be that kind of case for Hurts, it doesn't justify the sheer lack of quality of this album. It sounds like it was made to be played in a youth clothing store or something. It just sounds cheap and rushed. But hey, that's just me...

Their worst album, as for me. Ordinary, mediocre radio-pop. It's below the level of Happiness, Exile, and even Surrender.

Although there are some gems, I think this is probably their worst album. I liked their music more when it was less mainstream and with darker sounds. And I don't really get why the change because it's not even helping them to be more recognized, they sell much less. I'm not saying this is a bad album but Hurts is one of my favourites and I expect more from them.
