"Fuel for the Hate Game" is the second full-length album by Hot Water Music. It was released by Toybox Records and No Idea Records in 1997, later repressings only listed No Idea. The album features artwork by Scott Sinclair, was designed by Sean Bonner, and was recorded Spring 1996 by Steve Heritage at Morrisound Studios.
Fuel for the Hate Game has been considered by fans of post-hardcore to be one of the essential "emo" albums of the late '90s.
The track "Freightliner" was featured on the soundtrack to the skateboarding video game Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4.
