"Subaru Crosstrek XV" is the fifth track on Hobo Johnson's studio album "The Fall of Hobo Johnson". A music video accompanies the song on his official YouTube channel.
Billboard asked Frank about the song and whether he actually worked with Subaru on the song:
"I showed it to my dad and he said, ‘You better not take any money ,’ because I knew if I did he would be mad, even though the song is kind of already an ad… As a musician, that kind of stuff comes up all the time and you can’t fault someone for wanting to take the money… But I’m just giving it to them because I personally love Subaru."
"Four Seasons is a high class five star hotel, considered one of the best, and owned by the biggest hotel chain owners, The Hiltons. The line Im never going back to four seasons being next to the line about wanting to sell Drakes stuff so he can be rich is related. For one because Drake and Four Seasons both originated specifically in Toronto, Canada, but I believe he made the association of both of these Canadian natives to signify that these lines are connected. So, given that context (of him being broke since he isn’t friends with Drake) it would seem that he went to Four Seasons once before and realized he couldn’t afford it. So, he will never go back again. Prices of Four Seasons typically range from 500-2000 dollars depending on the room and suite, so this is understandable."
