Carlotta & Ana were the voices, guitar & songsmiths of Hinds. A rhythm section is always (well usually) the easier positions in a band to fill, although Ade & Amber will be sorely missed. The girls all seemed genuinely close & appeared to have fun making music & playing together. Carlotta says Amber & Ade have been gone since December & I get the impression the split hasn't left the group on the best of terms. As a fan, it's a shame as they were going from strength to strength until 2020 & the ensuing circus curtailed all that. Personally though, I hope they can regain their friendships, oh man, what a journey they had gigging all over the world in a van with CC's mum as the manager. Hoping for nothing but the best for all ladies.

Feeling rather wistful as I just discovered them and quite liked both "I Don't Run" and "The Prettiest Curse". Another casualty of the pandemic, I suppose.

Less than 90k listeners just smashed out a million listens. I remember a few years back, they barely had 40k listens. Our girls are getting big time now, it’s exciting to watch them go from strength to strength. I Don’t Run, a new album, a new chapter is being written. Viva Hinds. See you in Australia.

As I write this on New Years Eve 2016, nothing came close to topping Leave Me Alone for album of the year in my humble opinion. Not only my album of the year, Hinds are now one of my favorite bands. Their future music is a no questions asked, day one purchase. Carlotta, Ana, Ade and Amber have brought a huge amount of fun and energy to the modern musical landscape. I look forward to whatever the girls do next. Viva Hinds!

A good starting point would be to watch the Live on KEXP performances. It's a high energy, fun little 3 or so song set. The guitars are much cleaner sounding as are the vocals, so you get a nice picture of what the girls sound like without the lo-fi sound of the album. Hope you dig it, bro! All the best.
