Hexentanz is a group from Ashburn, Virginia, USA.

Cain, the Devil in Flesh, stands horned and holding the Trident of Shaitan, summoning his children by the backwards dance of ecstasy. Primal drums and the howling of witches bring each to celebration, passion, and sexual copulation, as the secret gathering of the wise commences.

Hexentanz (literally "the witches dance") is a collaborative conception between members of The Soil Bleeds Black and Psychonaut 75, venturing to recognize the traditional Witches Sabbath as a reality in the flesh. The music and expression of Hexentanz encompasses the practice of medieval black magic. Composed with actual period instruments, synthetic ritual devices, human bones, and authentic arcane chants of medieval and modern witch cult practice, Hexentanz is a project standing alone in its exploration of archaic music and magic. The art of Hexentanz is conceived within the living tradition of left hand path practice and maintains sincerity with its elucidation of the medieval Witches Sabbat.

The debut release of Hexentanz, "The Sabbat Comes Softly", was published in 2002 as a high quality limited edition 7" EP portraying several tracks pertinent to the expressions of the band. Their debut CD, Nekrocrafte reinforces the Rites of the Witches Sabbat as a gateway into the Old Ways, expressed in the flesh of the new.

Hexentanz is made up of several artists with talents and interests pertaining to a wide variety of themes centered on the left hand tradition:

Michael Ford: is the author of several grimoires dealing with the practice of the Witches Sabbat, Persian sorcery, Luciferian Witchcraft and magic in general. He is the Magister and initiate of a Left Hand Path Guild known as The Order of Phosphorus, a closed circle of solitary practitioners who create and become through their own predilection within the Witches Sabbat current. Mr. Ford is also a founding member of the experimental-industrial band Psychonaut 75 and has published a host of albums under various other monikers and genres over the past ten years.

Michael Riddick: is currently authoring an extensive book on the tradition and technology of magic, anticipated for completion in the next several years. Michael holds a bachelor's degree in philosophy with a concentration in comparative religion. He has been studying and practicing magic for the past ten years. Michael is also a contributor to the medieval project, The Soil Bleeds Black.

Dana Dark: has maintained a consistent interest in the occult since her youth and has also been involved in the dark music underground for more than a decade. Her work includes club and concert promotions, DJ activities, and the organization of several well-received gothic culture events in Texas. Aside from her musical and ritual activities within Psychonaut 75 and Hexentanz, Dana is also widely recognized for her modeling career. She has appeared in various publications to include Tattoo Savage, MarQuis, Gothic Beauty, Gothic Sluts, Barely Evil, Penthouse Fetish, Orkus and many others.

Lux Fero (Davcina): has practiced personal evolution through magic for many years. She has a background in Luciferian witchcraft, Mexican Witchcraft, and Folk magic traditions. Aside from her contributions to Psychonaut 75 and Hexentanz, she is also a published artist and painter. Lux Fero utilizes her artwork as a form of sorcery through which her magic may be realized.

Mark Riddick: has been experimenting and recording music with various medieval instruments for the past decade. His interest in the occult remains largely centered on the medieval practice of alchemy.
