Um, let me clarify, I BELIEVE that to be that case. I'm not 100% certain. But that's what it sounds like - a mix. 1-18-10 Happy MLK Day at 3:53

Actually Gigi and Gooch, this is a mix of the original and the version off Dis is da Drum. The flute and melody is the original, the drum trax is off Dis is da Drum.

I was trying to listen to the 2005 version of this track from "Dis Is Da Drum"...so why'd I get redirected here? (*Sulks*). Oh, well...it's still terrific. I agree with December1968...this is the sort of track which goes well with candlelight, a bottle of red wine, a good fire, and someone special.

Always liked Herbie's earlier 60s albums such as inventions & dimensions / Empyrean Isles, etc as well as classic albums like 'Flood'. Butterfly, is an understated classic! Can't go wrong with Fender Rhodes, congas, soprano sax, drums, etc. Not normally a huge fan of the sounds of synths in some of the mid-late 1970s, but it works in this track. Favourite part as usual are Herbie's subtle, but groovy solos!

That downward sliding sound you hear is a conga. Bill Summers is crazy awesome.
