Do scrobbles count as supporting the artist? ;/ just kidding, idgaf. Not that it would really matter to me anyway bcuz supporting a person (where I'd consider it a passive endorsement of their behavior) would be giving them money. Which means appreciating a piece of "art" in a vacuum is its own, guilt-free thing. A lot of the art I find most interesting comes from fucked up individuals, neurodivergents and other people on the fringes of human collectives. TLDR: thanks for sharing.

its not a toss up when he supports people that are actively invading and domineering our countries.

What's not a toss up? I don't even know what you mean by "he supports"... like one of the dudes is on his FB page saying morally objectional shit? I'm SO NOT interested in the online drama around musicians and their political opinions. Nor anyone else's listening habits in that context either.

I'm thankful I decided to check out an album of them, loving electro-industrial & dark electro for over 17 years but somehow never took the time for this band. I went for "Polarity" and what an amazing futuristic beauty this is! Also very well structured songs. Discovered over 100 albums with futuristic atmosphere over the years, finally Polarity is among them. If I would recommend similar albums, I think I would mention the self-titled album (2002) from Dismantled (similar cyberpunk-ish atmosphere) and No Sleep Demon V2.0 from Seabound (Polarity and No Sleep Demon V2.0 both also have a dreamy touch in their sound)

or the german clone dark illumination, or acretongue, etc etc dismantled debut is nothing like polarity. that's as goofy and off base as claiming The Misfits is a similar album to a 2010s era AFI release.

ah shit, wait a minute. is that really you, vfiv? dropping names like headscan and dark illumination certainly seems to check out. tell me though, what dark electro projects are /were at the upper echelon of that sub-genre. the 1%'ers, so to speak...

do not get the top tracks at all. i saw haujobb a few days ago and was surprised to hear practically nothing off of homes, solutions, freeze frame or even polarity. imo those are by far the best albums with the best tracks. the show was still good, but i feel these top tracks are weird. especially the medicore at best prodigy cover at the top. lol wth

I don't even like the remixes. Dead Market is alright but the rest of New World March is boring.

Haujobb keeps sucking since Dead Market was released. The first version of Letting the Demons Sleep I saved my hope for another vertical stuff. No. This new "sound" reminds me experiments with a soviet synth. And now listening to We Must Wait, I'm completely dazed. That awful sample and vocal Richard Gotainer alike. Daniel, wake up! Return pitch black samples!

To Bloodwerk: I could be to recommend you their last album "New World March" for best understanding the last points of their style development. However, such their early work, as "Solutions for a small planet", can give you the imagination of their first music style positions.

Haujobb has a special music language.."endzeit" atmosphere and post-industrial music structures. Their music is mix of high-tech IDM and soft EBM&synth styles..It's a way to apocalyptic or other galactical worlds...It's very clever, intellectual, brain music for modern world.

Futurepop? Not so much. MKDELTA is right, Vertical Theory had much more futurepop elements. NWM obviously lacks of progressing melodies to be called futurepop. Personally I've found more darkwave influences than futurepop's on New World March.

I don't understand why there's so much whining about New World March. Undoubtedly perfect album.

what a bad music....very unoriginal and very commonplace....I tried to listen to this, but really cannot stand it....No melody at all....artificial....
