There are at least two different artists releasing music as Haru.
1. Haru a.k.a Haru Akiyama is the producer/artist of the four instrumental compilation albums Caelum, Blue Lillya, All The Fun and Elysium Field (listed chronologically). He is also the co-producer and co-artist who worked with hian. Haru started making music with amateur softwares and keyboards at the age of 14. At the age of 16 he started to play the piano while he had been playing guitar for 2 years. His first release “Caelum” was mainly a test-recording made on the same day that he started to play the piano. The other releases where made in his home-studio between the years 2006-2007. Haru is known for his very variation and diversity in his music. Every album released so far has been completely different from each other. However he mainly uses piano as a primary instrument. Despite the fact that Haru never uses vocals he has announced that there will be vocals with both him and other artist in the future.
2. Haru is the latest moniker of Dutch musician, songwriter, singer and multi-disciplinary artist, Claudia Rewinkel, who released her first works as Rêver, but then decided to continue her artistic journey as Haru. As Rêver she released two 3-track singles, entitled Chapter 1 (2018) and Chapter 2 (2020). A Dutchwoman of Indonesian heritage, Rewinkel describes her music as 'slow music', which - in Haru's world - can be neo-classical piano, a song with vocals, but also soundtrack-like studio work, in many cases enhanced with, for instance, film, poetry, anime, photography. She intends to bring like-minded artists from different disciplines together in her work.
