With a psychedelic island feel, "Sunflower, Vol. 6" sets the tone for a more fun, yet still reflective, ending of "Fine Line". In a slew of metaphors and hidden meanings, the song gives an overview on relationships, from the initial longing to get to know someone new, to feelings fizzling out – and the process repeating again. Styles seems to give hints on his own relationship history throughout, with “sunflower” the object of his affection, “tongue-tied” alluding to being nervous or a lack of communication, and “Vol. 6” potentially addressing the number of relationships he’s had before.
