"Memories" is an instrumental piece of music that appeared on the Top Gun film soundtrack in 1986. It features a classical guitar and was most notably played in the scenes featuring Pete "Maverick" Mitchell (played by Tom Cruise) following the death of his flying partner Nick "Goose" Bradshaw (played by Anthony Edwards).
This song also appears on the soundtrack to the film, Thief of Hearts, which Faltermeyer also scored.
