B-side to "Perhaps", released digitally on December 8, 2023. "The General" had almost mythological status in the Guns N' Roses fandom, as it was mentioned as far back as 2002 and never leaked . The song was originally written during the sessions for "Chinese Democracy" in the late 90's/early 00's, and reworked with Slash & Duff McKagan in 2023.
