minor is the first commercial debut project by singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams. The album’s title shares the name with one of Gracie’s songs, minor, initially shared through snippets on Instagram.
The project was first announced an the Instagram post following the release of I miss you, I'm sorry, on April 8th, 2020 where Gracie stated, “this is the first song off my first project.” On May 20, 2020, Gracie released her second single for the album, Long Sleeves and announced the album title and release date for minor. The release date was later delayed to July 14th and 21 was added to the tracklist.
