Gotye and Perfect Tripod (Eddie Perfect and Tripod)'s version of Quasimodo's Dream is the second release in a series of highly acclaimed artists covering classic Australian songs for SLAM - Save Live Australia's Music.

This 1981 classic by The Reels (voted no.10 in the top Australian songs of all time by APRA) is available online as a download or limited vinyl release (which features cover art by acclaimed visual artist Patricia Piccinini) via SLAM's PledgeMusic campaign (campaign ends 30 June 2013).

SLAM is a grassroots organisation made up of musicians and music lovers, an action group whose members have volunteered their time to ensure that Australia’s fertile music scene is nurtured and protected. In early 2010, the SLAM Rally swept through the streets of Melbourne in protest against over-arching Victorian Liquor Licensing policies that unfairly linked live music to high risk activity. 20,000 protesters marched on Victorian State Parliament, the SLAM Rally was described as the largest cultural protest in Australia’s history. The work continues behind the scenes throughout the year and leading up to National SLAM Day, a day that galvanises our community.
