Well I don't certainly feel that way myself, but you are of course entitled to your view on the case :) As relates to this interpretation, I for the most part enjoy Eugene's rough and gritty voice and singing style in general, but I just can't get to it in this song. It may be that I've grown too affected to Manu's voice since I'm used to listening to the original much more than this, I don't know. But all in all, I don't feel that this song befits Gogol Bordello's style (which in its own right is quite okay) that well, if at all. I've nothing against adapting a tune to match the artist's own style more closely when interpreting someone else's song, but not all covers can tick one's nerve, so to speak. Or can, but not always in the positive sense.

Oh! The original track is by Mano Negra ! Huge one ! This one is very good though ... but Manu Chao's voice is irreplaceable.
