Beautiful album! I'm ashamed at myself for only discovering it now after growing up as a diehard Beatles fanatic.

Beyond-amazing record! The Light That Has Lighted the World and the title track are the high points for me, but only by an inch or two: the whole album is perfect.

"all things must pass" is about an album worth of good songs, combined with another album & a half worth of jams and half-finished/half-successful experiments. kind of like the clash's sandinista. with much stronger editing, it could have been a solid album. "living in the material world" is one album's worth of good songs without filler. and it's very sincere, heartfelt stuff with a distinct style and point of view that i can respect and enjoy, even though it's sort of a religious record and i'm not a religious person. this album comes across like the work of a great pop musician just doing whatever he likes and then consistently succeeding at it, without concern for whether it'll have any commercial appeal. i have to agree that "living in the material world" is probably the single best album that any beatle recorded after that band broke up.

What a love of an album, it's so soulful in its sound. In some ways, I love this album slightly more than ATMP -- and I wish ATMP had had the same production as LMW, especially for some of the songs like "Isn't it a Pity", "If Not For You", and the eponymous "All Things Must Pass".

I listen to this album while joining the others in the morning for the start of the rat race

The BEST post-Beatles album by far. A work of real beauty and depth that neither Paul or John could reach once they started competing in a bad way. Well done, George. RIP
