Phil definitely recycled that piano part at 2:40 on "Strangers Like Me" for Tarzan

my father loves this song along with ripples, great Genesis tracks, eternally beautiful. Love how he sings "oh how I love you, I once cried long ago....."

I love how Phil sang that part exactly as I read this comment. Great coincidence 😂❤

I love Calling All Stations, well it's definitely not the same Genesis prog album, but still there are some quite decent songs, my favorite one is Uncertain Weather, what a powerful chorus!

Indeed! I think if one doesn't enjoy an LP, that's perfectly fine. But I feel many just don't even give it a proper chance just because of how awkward it is that Ray Wilson is a lead Genesis singer. Often with the Genesis fanbase there seems to be a big split in fans between the Peter Gabriel lead vocals era and the Phil Collins lead vocals era and the fans fighting over which is better. While I suppose some are fans of both, their is a general agreement that comes when it goes to both Gabriel & Collins fans collectively dogpilling on Ray Wilson 😭😂

I guess the problem also is that a lot of people don't even know that this album exist. Almost everyone thinks that We Can't Dance is the last Genesis album.

I'd welcome a horse's kick to take me back if I could find a horse not made of sand. Just the most beautiful song in Earth. and the whole galaxy.

One of the best tracks from the post-Gabriel Genesis. The album combines some great prog with some magical tunes such as this and Entangled. All members were at their peak and it's probably a cliche to say it but they were never the same after Hackett left although flashes of brilliance do surface from time to time (thanyou Mr. Banks). I love this track.....it makes me feel warm and smiley although tinged with melancholy (ooooh, hark at me!!). Also, and finally, Wind & Wuthering is really rather good as well y'know. Give it another listen.
