Taken from the synonymous 1981 album, this was the second single to be released and reached number 26 and number 9 in both the US billboard hot 100 and the UK singles chart respectively. The song title comes from a chord progression in an early version of the song which went A-B-A-C-A-B. The completed version did not follow this chord progression but the name stuck. The song features an uncredited sample from an Earth, Wind and Fire track where the horns are sped up to produce an interesting effect, these can be heard briefly at the end of the instrumental version. This version is somewhat shorter than the album version as it was deemed too long (7 minutes) for a single.
