"The Difference" is a 2020 single by Australian producer Flume and American musician Toro y Moi. It was released on March 11th, and was announced on Flume’s Twitter on March 3rd.
The track was teased ahead of its official announcement by a song of the same name, uploaded to Apple Music and Spotify by an artist listed as 300ZK Z31 – the same model number of the luxury car that appeared in the artwork for Flume’s Hi This Is Flume mixtape. Flume’s label, Future Classic, featured the track in an official Flume playlist, prompting fan speculation that an upcoming release was eminent.
