Just saw them live and they are solid af. lots of youth at the show, interested to see where they go from here with the songwriting

Slept on them for so long that after I listened to We're Not Here to Be Loved I'm permanently awake.

This new remix EP is very sweet <3 Usually I don't listen to remix tracks but this one is actually very good, interesting way to re-listen favorite tracks from a different perspective.

It's definitely more alternative metal. It doesn't sound anything like shoegaze to me.

I wonder if Fleshwater realizes that magnitude of what they were doing when they released their last album. That was a perfect album to my ears. So beautifully cohesive, like every second was recorded with the intention to make your brain explode.

Mirsy has one of the most powerful voices I've heard in alt metal. So good. Can't have enough of it. Closet, Razor's Apple and Kiss the Ladder gives me shivers. This makes me wonder: are there any other bands with a similar approach to melody and vocals? I know they're probably out there, I'm just not aware of them.

They took "inspiration from alternative metal and shoegaze bands like Deftones, Far, Failure, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Hum". But, let me be honest: while those bands have made great songs, sure, I don't really like any of their albums. I genuinely don't think any of them have made a better album than 'We're Not Here to Be Loved'. (I still find these voices somewhat annoying, unnecesarily so, sometimes, but whatever)

While I know this is just your POV at this moment, saying something like "I genuinely don't think any of them have made a better album than 'We're Not Here to Be Loved' is just delusional. I really love what Fleshwater did but did you even listen to albums like "Siamese Dream", "Mellon Collie" by The Smashing Pumpkins and "Diamond Eyes", "Around the fur", "White Pony" by Deftones before you wrote this comment? Super-influential and important bands for alternative music vs one indie band with one 30-minute album... hmmm, seems like a bit of a strange comparison, right? Maybe you need more time to do your studies and re-listen for those classics before making such comparisons. To each their own of course, but I don't think this statement stands up to any serious criticism.

Yes, I have. I never take into account how popular or "super-influential and important" an album is. I'm used to people claiming To Pimp A Butterfly is the best album of all time, while the best performances of the best compositions of the best composers of all time remain heavily ignored. I get your point, and I have rejected it many times in my life. Have a nice day.

Have to agree, the demo is just way more intense and raw. Both versions are great though...
