Five years have gone by since the last Flashbaxx release LIVINGROOM ADVENTURES. In the meantime, the title track appeared on dozens of compilations all over the world, among these giants like JAZZANOVA, TOSCA and MO' HORIZONS, just to name a few. But stagnancy is strange to Daniel Stenger: he worked as remixer and producer (PNFA, KayGrove, NUDE), performed sets as DJ and live gigs with his electronic live act SONIC SOUL DIVISION, founded his custom-sound company BAXXBEATMUSIC, produced and licensed music for TV-commercials and image movies (Riu Hotels, BAT, Deutsche Bank, Trekstore etc… ), released the debut album HERBST with the post-rock
band FITZCARRALDO and toured 40 cities in three countries. In January 2008, the label division has been added to BAXXBEATMUSIC. The upcoming release FLASHBAXX – The Changing Tides EP is the first BAXXBEATMUSIC artist release and also marks a big change in Flashbaxx' musical style:
the tides have changed…

Goodbye Soundscape – Hello Groove!
Far away from exchangeable Chill Out productions without any soul, THE CHANGING TIDES EP impresses with a fresh organic mood, with smooth beats and an invincible passion for sampled instruments or instruments played by the boss himself. Whereas some kind of „sound fatcap“ is used for one track (IMU), the other shows off with great focus on details (VOODOO THERAPY). Artfully programmed NuJazz breaks meet a deep Rhodes Piano (CHANGING TIDES), and the simple lick of a semi-acoustic Hohner guitar turns a Lounge track into a catchy tune (STAINLESS). The audience slides from Hip-Hop to House flavoured tracks, but actually never changes the genre. The record perfectly
suits the living room as well as the dance floor. With THE CHANGING TIDES EP Daniel Stenger aka Flashbaxx has doubtlessly released a great album. With its playing time of 40 minutes it can't be called EP anymore. But we, at BAXXBEATMUSIC, don't give a damn about that, as long as the music is as good as this one right here!

FLASHBAXX – THE CHANGING TIDES EP will be released on BAXXBEATMUSIC (Aschaffenburg, DE) as jewel case compact disc. Contrary to the digital release, the CD includes two more tracks and two bonus video clips directed by Wolfram Gruss / PNFA (www. pnfa. net).
