“Tears of Gold” is a song about a bittersweet relationship. In the song, she states about losing trust in her lover for being neglected. It’s the fifth single by Faouzia. On November 19, 2019, Faouzia announced the song via Twitter.

Faouzia has said about the origin of the song: "I remember this day so clearly. The day that I wrote the song I had been in sessions all summer every day. And I remember just being like, nothing that I’m writing is really clicking with me or connecting with me. I need to just have like one day off. And then I went home, took the day off and the next day I walked in the studio with Jay Mike. And honestly, it’s like we refueled completely. And I don’t usually write from personal experience. Usually I write about other people’s experiences or just things that people can relate to. But I was like something in me. I was like, I’m going to write about something that I can truly connect with and I know that people can connect with too. And so I wrote “Tears Of Gold.” I am way too nice sometimes. I’ve been in so many tough situations just because I’ve given too much to people and I know that they don’t really connect with me, or like friendships where it’s just like one sided. That’s why it’s just like, why do I keep doing this and why do I keep putting myself in this situation? It’s still like that honestly. And I feel like that’s what the song is. You’re just pouring your soul out to someone and it’s really like nothing in return."
